The first Saturday of every month, Home Depot has FREE in-Store Kids Workshops beginning at 9am while supplies last. For the month of August, kids will create a Space Odyssey. Bring your kids out and pick up what you need for your next DIY project!
Yummie’s Birthday Party at Kitchen Kettle Village

Enjoy a day celebrating Kitchen Kettle Village’s Yummie, the gingerbread man’s birthday. The event includes Yummie’s mascot friends who will be joining him to celebrate his special day.
National Night Out

National Night Out is “an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.” The event typically takes place the first Tuesday in August. Below are a list of some of the area National Night Out Celebrations (see below for New Holland’s event taking place on Tuesday, August 12th).
Christiana Borough: 6-8pm at Borough Hall/Police Department (10 West Slokom Avenue). Blockbuster move to be shown at 8pm hosted by Christiana Library and Christiana PD
Parkesburg: 6-8pm at Minch Park (111 West Street)
Lancaster: 6-8 pm at The Shops at Rockvale (35 South Willowdale Drive)
Strasburg Community: 6-9pm at Strasburg Jaycee Park (218 Miller Street)
West Earl Township: 5-8pm at Broad Street Park
Bomberger’s John Deere Field Day

Enjoy an evening of fun for the whole family that will feature games, prizes, food, live animals, Mr. Balloonery & More. Admission is free but donations will be accepts to support Children’s Miracle Network / Penn State Health Hershey Children’s Hospital.
The Great Giveaway by Calvary Monument Bible Church

This annual event is an opportunity for Calvary Monument Bible Church to bless those in the community. Items, such as new or gently used clothing & shoes, books, toys and household items are donated and on Saturday, August 9, anyone in need of these items is welcome to take whatever they need, free of charge. The day will also include Door Prizes and FREE refreshments (while supplies last).

Enjoy Flea Markets, then you won’t want to miss this event that includes 2-3 acres of flea markets with over 100 vendors.
Bike4Charity benefiting the Haft

Choose one of three bike ridge options in this fundraiser that is great for the whole family…Color Ride for Kids, Family & Friends Ride (10 mile loop) or Lancaster Loop (100 miles ride around Lancaster County). Proceeds benefit the Haft and all rides will start and end at Petra Church (565 Airport Road, New Holland, PA).
Music on the Mountain Benefiting For One Life
Friday, August 15 (4:30-9pm) and Saturday, August 16, 2025 (1-9pm)
Enjoy two days of Gospel Music from multiple bands as well as food from local food trucks and food vendors. Admission is free and all proceeds benefit For One Life.
Third Annual Softball Tournament Benefiting Plain Compassion Crisis Response
Friday, August 29 – Saturday, August 30, 2025
This two day event includes a 16U Softball Tournament, Open Men’s Softball Tournament, Volleyball Tournament and Live Music on Friday evening. In addition there will be food available for purchase from local food trucks and vendors.
